BEC was born out of one woman’s love of the bacon, egg and cheese sandwich.
Jessica Bologna, a hospitality veteran, struggled to find a delicious, high quality BEC.
Sure, there are bodegas, bagel shops and diners on nearly every block in New York
City, but none of these establishments had what Jessica was looking for.
So she decided to create it.
BEC specializes in made-to-order organic egg sandwiches. All of the sandwiches are served over easy and paired with locally-sourced meats, cheeses and vegetables, as well as homemade sauces and spreads. They are also served on handcrafted breads, baked daily. BEC’s signature sandwich, the BEC Classic, is served on a brioche bun topped with bacon and cheese crumbles, and all of the other egg sandwiches are twists on the classic,
with unique themes and flavor profiles.
The menu includes healthy and hungry options, as well as full-size and junior-size sandwiches. BEC also serves vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free items, including delicious, all-day items in bowls that are packed with vegetables rich in protein. The menu is rounded out with sides and snacks, and BEC offers a custom BEC/Brooklyn Roasting Company blend coffee, in addition to serving beer, wine and mimosas.
BEC opened in Chelsea in May 2015. The team is committed to “making the good
even better”, and does that through consistently serving great food and providing
excellent service. This is also made possible through working closely with some of
the finest local purveyors, and employing amazing people who have a passion for
hospitality and want to share it with you.
